With those cool autumn days sneaking up on us, now is the perfect time to rock some awesome nail designs for the back to school season! I have no shame in admitting that I really love being in the classroom; from getting the chance to reminisce with friends on my summer in the sun to catching up on the latest fashion trends, there are so many perks to being back on campus that it's hard to keep track of them all. As a self-proclaimed nail aficionado, my favorite part about heading back is getting inspiration for cute manicures and pedicures. When it comes to nail designs for the back to school season, elleandish // Janelle never fails to deliver. Using Sephora's Formula X kit, this YouTube nail maven seriously perfected the plaid look! I'm really loving how well the blue, green, cream and gold tones complement it each other.

I can't get over how totally adorable and fun these three looks by Trendy Polish are. The best part is that her DIY tutorial is really simple to follow. Out of the three designs, I have to say that the apple manicure is so fetch; if you're a teacher (or studying to become one), you will definitely get a kick out of these!
3. Nerdy Science Nail Art
Okay, excuse me while I gush over how wicked this DIY nail art is! You don't have to be a fan of chemistry to be obsessed with elleandish // Janelle's totally spot on look. From the cool formulas to the artfully sketched molecules, the level of intricacy in this design is just mind blowing.
4. Ultimate School Nail Art Guide
Where do I even begin? I love that YouTube nail genius cutepolish goes above and beyond in these creative DIY designs. Am I the only one who thinks that calculator is the cutest thing on earth?
5. Cheerleader Inspired Nail Art
The ambiguity behind this next design by nail artist SuperWowstyle is what initially caught my eye. This manicure can double as a sporty design and a date night look. Hate it or love it, the stripe nail art trend is definitely burning up the red carpet right now. The silver stripes separating the mixed blue hues add a perfect finishing touch.
6. Checkered Matte Nail Art
One of my favorite trends this season is matted nail polish. SuperWowstyle's decision to add a sharp contrast by pairing the black polish with a dark grey hue helps define this already edgy design. I can't wait to try this one out with my burgundy skater dress!
7. Gradient Polka Dot Nails
Lastly, PolishPedia's gradient polka dot nail art combines two more of my favorite nail trends. If you're not a big fan of pink or want to try something new, you can substitute the blush polish and still get the same effect. Those polka dots are so flawless!
