7 Gorgeous Nail Polish Shades for Autumn That Your Nails Will Love ...

1. OPI Lost on Lombard

This deep garnet hue, part of OPI’s new San Francisco range, is perfect for autumn and will ensure your nails attract the right kind of attention! Mid-way between black cherry and burgundy, this polish is dark enough to look glam without giving off too much of a Gothic vibe. Perfect for evenings out or a weekend lunch date and the ideal addition to your range of nail polish shades for autumn. I love this polish as it reminds me of a black cherry polish I used to wear when I was younger, and you’ll love it too.

2. OPI Incognito in Sausalito

Another OPI polish from the San Francisco collection; I’m loving the blue-black of this polish that will definitely get plenty of wear as the weather gets colder! If you usually wear brights, this might be a bit of an adjustment, as it does look practically black in most lights, but you can still see a sheen of blue on sunny days. I’ll be alternating it with Lost on Lombard this season.

3. OPI What Wizardry is This?

If it seems like I’m acting as some kind of OPI spokesperson, it’s only because they have some of the most stunning shades around! The quality is also great, and the textured metallic taupe finish of What Wizardry is This is just gorgeous! Part of the Oz the Great and Powerful range produced to coincide with the movie of the same name; it’s hard not to be spellbound by this color, which is just sparkly enough for a night out yet subtle enough that you don’t look as if you’ve dipped your fingers in a pot of glitter.

4. Maybelline Downtown Brown

Finally, another brand of polish! Maybelline Downtown Brown might look like a dull brown shade; in fact this unique duochrome polish is deep brown with a hint of moss green, and it catches the light beautifully. I love this polish for everyday wear during the autumn, and it adds just a hint of metallic sheen to your nails whilst still looking subtle enough to wear to the office.

5. China Glaze Queen B

Part of the China Glaze Autumn Nights Collection, out in September, this rich deep blue polish lies somewhere between cornflower and navy blue. I’m a sucker for anything blue, and this shade is really unusual. Its richness means it’s the perfect autumnal shade to pair with opaque tights and boots, and it’s sure to fly off the shelves when it’s released this month.

6. China Glaze Kiss My Glass

China Glaze’s Kiss My Glass is a gorgeous, deep shimmering grey that’s really unusual! I’m quite fair skinned, so silver polish just doesn’t look good on me, but this deep grey is bold enough to stand out on fair skinned girls, although it would look great on any skin tone. I’m becoming quite a big fan of China Glaze’s Autumn Nights Collection and this polish is the perfect addition to your autumn/winter collection.

7. OPI Vesper

OPI Vesper is a beautiful dark purple glitter that was released earlier in 2013 as part of the Bond Girls collection. I’m still wearing this come autumn, as I think it’s a great deep, dark purple with enough sparkle to help your nails stand out. I don’t just save this polish for a night out, I wear it throughout the day with a cute black or purple shift dress and pumps, it really pulls the whole look together. I haven’t found a purple glitter polish that I like more yet.
