I have a confession to make: Even though I can't believe that summer is pretty much over, I'm looking forward to all of the chic nail trends for fall 2014! From nautical themes to edgy studs, having so many DIY tutorials to choose from makes the nail lover in me feel like a kid in a candy store. I think it's safe to say that all of the designs that have taken over the streets (and the runway) have really been on point this year That being said, here are a few more solid nail trends for fall 2014 that you should keep on your radar.

Mixed Prints

When I think of the top nail trends for fall 2014, mixed prints automatically come to mind. There's no question that this is one of the hottest looks around; just from looking at the contrast in shapes and colors in TotallyCoolNails' DIY tutorial, it's clear that the possibilities for tweaking this design are endless.

2

Anchor/Nautical

This other tutorial by TotallyCoolNails pretty much confirms how awesome this print is. I've recently become really obsessed with anything related to the nautical theme; I take any chance I can get to rock anchors. Getting to combine chevron print and anchor makes this print even better. That rich shade of blue is the perfect choice; this video definitely doesn't disappoint.

3

Chevron

Speaking of chevron print, I just love the fact that it has taken the fashion world by storm! Half of the fun lies in finding the right pieces to highlight this already flawless look. Lipstick and Lemonade's black, red, white and gold color combination is sick! What's even cooler is that you can totally switch up the color palette to fit your own taste.

4

Bows

Don't let their sweet nature fool you. One of my favorite aspects of rocking bows is that with the right accessories, you can take them from looking simple to glam in a matter of seconds! As seen by Jess Bunty's fabulous design, you don't even need to go overboard; just let them speak for themselves.

5

Animal Print

Anything involving animal print (especially leopard print) and teal is automatically awesome in my book. I think it's pretty cool that Polishpedia chose to use silver nail polish to create the spots; I seriously love the contrast between the glitter and the black polish. That teal hue is absolutely stunning!

Polka Dots

If you're a fan of all things retro and quirky, get ready for your heart to melt. If you're a beginner at using the dotting tool, MissGlamasaurus1's tutorial featuring six astonishing polka dot designs are very helpful and informative. Because they are super easy to follow, I have no doubt in my mind that you'll become a pro at it!

Galaxy

Lastly, I don't think this space inspired print will ever go out of style. Seeing how much effort elleandish // Janelle put into blending those brilliant shades of purple and grey together makes me love this nail art design even more. Having that black and white accent nail truly makes all of the difference.

I will certainly be keeping up with these nail art gurus for more fabulous looks! What trends are you looking forward to trying? What is your all-time favorite print to rock?
